It is also important to know what should be done after the ruptured cyst is managed. In case it is a not so complex situation, you will should continue with your medications from home. The pain normally disappears after some days. In case it gets worse, a doctor should be contacted.

If the ruptured cyst is complex, hospital stay will be needed. You might be required to stay in hospital for a day or more. There will be the need for follow-up imaging tests.
